Welcome to this month’s Product Release Notes! Our team has been hard at work enhancing Referoo to make your experience smoother, smarter and more efficient. From launching our brand-new Help Centre to refining platform language and improving fraud detection, these updates are all about giving you more confidence and clarity in every check.

New features & updates

Our new Help Centre is here

Our new Help Centre is here and ready to make life easier for you as we bring our Knowledge Base, Community Hub and Support Ticket Tracking into one helpful portal.

Here’s what you need to know:
  • New logins: If you haven’t used the Community Hub before, you’ll need to create a new login. Once set up, you’ll stay signed in for easy access.
  • Quick approvals: Our Support team is fast-tracking new login requests to avoid delays in the new system.
  • Update saved links: Any saved links to our old user guides will no longer be working. The same guides are available in the Knowledge Base section of our new portal, so please update your content as soon as possible.

Our team has been refining the language across the platform to improve clarity and consistency. These updates are designed to make communication within Referoo clearer and your overall experience even better.

Did you know we have Enhanced Fraud Detection for all Referoo Hub clients?

In today’s world, fraud can come in many forms, and sometimes, candidates use creative methods to fake references. Referoo’s Enhanced Fraud Detection uses intelligent system alerts to flag unusual behaviour across reference activity, helping you identify potential risks before they impact your business. All Referoo users benefit from built-in fraud detection, but our Enhanced Fraud Detection takes it further with deeper behavioural analysis and smarter alerts to give you even more confidence in your checks.

Here are a few of the different types of alerts you might see:
  • Duplicate details – such as matching email addresses or phone numbers across multiple references.
  • Rapid submissions – references completed unusually quickly.
  • Unusual IP activity – references submitted from the same location or device as the candidate.
  • Suspicious email domains – references coming from generic or non-corporate email addresses.
  • Suspected VPN Use – references submitted while using a VPN.
Here’s something you might not know:

Each alert is an indicator, not confirmation, of fraud. It is designed to alert you of any suspicious behaviour which could raise alarm. You can use Referoo’s built-in tools like tracking data, action logs and digital ID checks to support your investigation.
