August Product Release Notes

This month, we’re rolling out powerful new checks and enhancements designed to give you deeper insights, stronger compliance and greater confidence in your hiring decisions. From uncovering online risks with our new Advanced Digital Footprint Check to expanding coverage for Regulated Professions Checks, these updates help you make smarter, more informed choices.

We’ve also introduced new features that streamline verification and strengthen trust in references, ensuring your processes remain both accurate and compliant.

New background checks 

Advanced Digital Footprint Check is now available

Our new Advanced Digital Footprint Check gives you greater visibility into a candidate’s online presence, helping you identify potential risks beneath the surface that standard checks may miss.

It can help you:

• uncover red flags like toxic content, extremist affiliations or alias accounts
• scan billions of data points across public social media, online news and forums
• make confident, informed hiring decisions by seeing the information under the surface.

Regulated Professions Checks just got stronger

We have expanded our Regulated Professions Checks to give you even greater confidence when verifying candidates in finance and legal roles.

Previously covering the ASIC banned and disqualified register, the new checks now also cover:

• AFS licences
• APRA disqualification register.

This means you can now confirm whether a candidate is banned, disqualified or missing the required licences to work across more regulated industries. It helps reduce risk and ensure you’re hiring qualified professionals who meet regulatory standards.

New features and updates

Send verification emails to referees

You can now strengthen the accuracy and compliance of references by sending verification emails to referees directly from the ‘Additional Actions’ dropdown.

The referee will receive an email prompting them to review and digitally sign the reference, which then appears on the referee report. This feature can be used to verify phone call references, confirm edits made after submission and, as a further measure, to confirm the reference was submitted from a legitimate company email.
