February Product Release Notes

As we wrap up February, we’re excited to share a new round of product updates designed to make hiring smoother and more connected. This month, we’ve focused on simplifying processes for your candidates, giving your team greater control behind the scenes, and improving data visibility across your integrations. Together, these enhancements help you move faster, stay aligned, and make more confident hiring decisions.

New features and updates

Files uploaded to surveys now flow to integrations

Files uploaded by candidates as part of surveys can now be pushed through to integrations, ensuring complete data visibility. This is particularly useful for clients that may have custom surveys that collect information and allow multiple file uploads.

This update saves time by reducing manual handling, improves visibility into candidate information and strengthens audit trails by keeping both the survey and supporting documentation in one place.

Update to enhanced fraud detection: Free email used

The ‘free email used’ enhanced fraud detection feature previously triggered an ID check and/or a notification to the user if either a candidate or a referee were loaded into Referoo with a free email address (e.g. Gmail or Hotmail). To provide a smoother candidate experience and streamlined communications, this functionality has now been adjusted to only apply to referees who are loaded into Referoo with a free email address.

Ability to add additional references to the work history checks

To reduce the need for additional checks, we’ve added the capability to enter additional references to the work history check. This is useful across different screening processes, such as when a candidate’s referee is unsuitable and they have provided you with the contact information for a replacement referee.

Personal and professional references now accepted in work history checks

To improve reference accuracy, support different role requirements and provide greater flexibility for different hiring situations, Referoo now allows candidates to enter both personal and professional references. This ensures the appropriate questionnaire is automatically sent based on referee type.

Note that work history is only recommended for use within packages due to the complex setup requirements.

Other updates

  • User dashboard: Talent pool opportunities – The reporting dashboard now displays the time period in which opt-in data was collected, helping you interpret results more accurately.
  • Bullhorn note actions by note type – Bullhorn Admins can now set note actions per note type, giving more granular control over how Referoo activity is logged in the notes section in Bullhorn.
